Dear Supporters,

The No To Hammonds Farm Working Group would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year for 2025!

2024 was a very busy year for our campaign and your support was highly appreciated.

£28,807 Raised in 2024

As a result of your incredible generosity, a total of £28,807 was raised for the campaign. Every donation helped us:

  • Erect banners in key village locations to build awareness.
  • Print and deliver thousands of leaflets about the consultation and public meetings.
  • Distribute campaign literature at events.
  • Engage top-tier legal representation.
  • Commission expert planning and environmental reports.

Over 10,000 Objections Submitted

The second round of public consultation ended on 19 June 2024. More than 10,000 objections were submitted, compared to just 9 letters of support. This is a huge achievement and a clear statement to Chelmsford City Council (CCC).

Your engagement on Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) made a real impact. Every like, share, and comment helped spread the word far beyond the local parishes.

A United Front

The Parish Councils of Boreham, Danbury, Little Baddow, and Sandon worked closely together, and your collective involvement truly made 2024 a milestone year for the campaign.

🚀 Looking Ahead: Final Consultation in 2025

2025 will be even more important. The third and final public consultation will begin soon (dates to be confirmed). We must build on the momentum and surpass our previous objection numbers.

We’ll be organising public meetings across the parishes to keep everyone informed and ready. Until then, we’ll continue to provide updates via this newsletter and our website.

💵 Fundraising Update

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve already raised £28,807, which is 52% of our target (£55,000). These funds are critical for:

  • Legal fees
  • Environmental and planning consultations
  • Expert testimony and campaign materials
