The Chelmsford Local Plan consultation closes at 4pm today, Tuesday 18 March 2025. If you haven’t submitted your Regulation 19 objection, please act immediately.

🏥 GP Services on the Brink

Trying to get a GP appointment in our area is already challenging. Now imagine what will happen if over 3,000 new houses are built nearby — potentially increasing to 12,000 in the future.

Local health services are already at breaking point:

• Danbury Medical Centre can’t recruit or retain enough GPs.
• Beaulieu Park still lacks an open surgery years after development.
• Broomfield Hospital and St Peter’s Maldon are overstretched.

Chelmsford City Council’s Local Plan offers no meaningful health infrastructure in response.

🌳 Why This Area Can’t Take More

Let’s not forget:

• 16a – Hammonds Farm proposes 3,000+ homes and 500,000 sq ft of industrial space.
• 16b – Pigeon (Columba Park) adds another 500,000 sq ft of industrial development.
• These would bring 88 HGV docking bays, destroy green space, and create unmanageable traffic chaos.
