Dear Supporters and Friends,
Thank you for your continued support and dedication to our cause. We are excited to share the latest updates on our efforts to stop Hammonds Farm and Pigeon’s industrial development (16a and 16b) from being included in Chelmsford’s Local Plan.
🛑 Progress So Far
📄 500-Page Objection Filed
With the help of planning experts and consultants, we submitted a comprehensive 500-page objection to Chelmsford City Council. It outlines the environmental risks, infrastructure concerns, and destruction of our rural character.
⚖️ Legal Representation Secured
Thanks to your donations, we’ve appointed a top-tier legal team to formally challenge CCC’s flawed decision. They’re ready to fight for a fair, lawful, and community-first outcome.
💷 Fundraising Update
As of today, we’ve raised £4,500 via our GoFundMe campaign. That’s a great start — but we still have a long way to go to meet our £55,000 target.
💡 What donations fund:
– Legal fees and representation
– Expert planning and environmental reports
– Administrative and court costs
Please keep sharing the link and encouraging others to contribute.

📊 Development Recap
16a – Hammonds Farm:
A so-called “garden community” of 3,100 houses and 500,000 sq ft of industrial space.
16b – Columba Park Industrial Site:
An additional 500,000 sq ft of warehouse and logistics units.
Together, these developments would overwhelm our countryside, roads, and services.
🙌 Thank You
We’re deeply grateful for your support. Together, we’ve submitted thousands of objections and built a powerful grassroots campaign.
Now we must carry that momentum into the next phase — legal challenge and public accountability.
Let’s show Chelmsford City Council that we won’t be ignored.
