The plan will now extend to 2041. The review process involves several stages: Issues and Options (completed in 2022), Preferred Options (current stage), Pre-Submission, and Submission. The Preferred Options stage, anticipated for Spring 2024, involves consultation on a full draft of the reviewed Local Plan, including updated policies and proposed development sites. The Council’s Chelmsford Policy Board has approved the document for consultation in June 2024.
