Hammonds Farm Briefing
Thank you to everyone who attended the community briefing event on November 10th at the Memorial Hall concerning the possibility that a development of 4,000 houses at Hammonds Farm is approved for inclusion in Chelmsford City Council’s revised plan.
Keith Ferguson gave a presentation outlining the current situation, the many impacts that developing this site will have, and the preparations the working group are making.
The Policy Board at Chelmsford City Council have cancelled their meeting scheduled for 1st February 2024 and therefore the preferred option will now be put forward at the meeting scheduled for 14th March 2024, after which a 6 week consultation period will begin.
As soon as practically possible after this date, the working group will hold another briefing event at the Memorial Hall to inform attendees of the decision and what action, if any, we can all take during the consultation period.
